Peggy Hanna Brooks Burruss Endowment

An endowed teaching scholarship established in honor of Peggy Hanna Brooks Burruss. The scholarship is intended for a student seeking a career in the field of teaching. Preference shall be given to a student who is the child of a teacher, or whose parents are teachers. The recipient should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must have demonstrated financial need. The recipient will receive this scholarship at the beginning of his or her junior year and will continue annually until the student finishes his or her undergraduate degree. The scholarship will support one student until graduation at which time another recipient will be chosen.
