Jack Merkel Williams Memorial Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by Julia M. Merkel (’92) and Michael A. Williams to honor the memory of their son, Jack Merkel Williams, to support a scholarship that will benefit one or more graduates of Broadway High School in Rockingham County, Virginia who are either incoming freshman or transfer students. The award may be used for educational expenses such as, but not limited to, books, equipment, tuition & fees and room & board. To be named a Jack Merkel Williams Scholar, recipients must demonstrate a balance of academic credentials and enthusiastic participation in school and community activities with preference given to members of the debate team.
