Nancy M. Niswander ("50) Memorial Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by Laura Lee N. (’86, ’93) and William H. (’89) Conklin, and Kathryn and Mark Mulholland in memory of the donors’ mother and mother-in-law, Nancy M. Niswander (’50).

Scholarship recipients will be a rising Sophomore, rising Junior, or rising Senior, transfers included, who are pursuing teacher licensure, majoring in Elementary Education or BIS with Elementary Education concentration. Preference given to students whose primary residence is City of Roanoke, Virginia. The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to meet the criteria.

The guardian of this account will be the Early, Elementary and Reading Education Academic Unit Head. Recipients will be selected at the discretion of the guardian following the University’s guidelines for awarding scholarships.
