Hurney-Moreno Scholarship Endowment for First-Generation Students

An endowed scholarship established by Carol Hurney and Aura Esperanza Moreno.

The scholarship is available to incoming freshmen and will be awarded to one first-generation student with preference given to a student who demonstrates financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The scholarship is renewable until graduation as long as the student remains enrolled full time. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
