Women for Madison Student Scholarships

The Women for Madison Student Scholarship is a need-based scholarship at James Madison University funded by a visionary women’s giving circle that pledges annually to support students.  Launched in 2021, the Amethyst Circle provides renewable scholarships of $5,000 per year (up to 4 years total). For initial selection, students must demonstrate eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. 

The scholarship is renewable as long as the student continues to demonstrate financial need and maintains academic good standing.  Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and follow the university’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
