An endowed scholarship established from funds given in memory of George Carl Johnson by Marilou M. Johnson (’80), on behalf of family and friends of Dr. George C. Johnson

Donor Criteria
Restrictions
• Student must be admitted to the School of Media Arts and Design.
• Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• After the first scholarship is awarded, future recipients must complete essay questions in the Madison Scholarship Hub regarding experience in servant leadership and multi-platform storytelling.
• Preference given to a student who demonstrates financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Administration
• Awarded to one student per year.

Guardian
The guardian of this account will be the Director of the School of Media Arts and Design. Recipients will be selected at the discretion of the guardian following the University’s guidelines for awarding scholarships
