Taschek Family Scholarship Endowment in the School of Communication Studies

An endowed scholarship established by John W. (’86) and Lynda Taschek.

To be named a Taschek Family Scholar in Communications Studies, recipients must be fulltime undergraduate students who have been accepted into any major concentration within the School of Communication Studies and maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher.

In a 500-word essay, applicants are required to describe how majoring in Communication Studies positions you to be a change maker actively engaged in positively shaping local, regional, national, and/or global communities now and in the future.

The scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the Academic Unit Head of Communication Studies, in collaboration with the School of Communication Studies Faculty Advisory Committee, and will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
