Brenda Bond Nester

The Brenda Bond Nester Scholarship Endowment was established in 2014 by former James Madison University employee Brenda Bond Nester. Mrs. Nester was the Director of Advancement Gifts and Records and retired in May 2014. Through this scholarship endowment the donor intends to support first generation entering freshman college students who have a need for financial assistance as determined by the university’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and whose primary residence is in the counties of Carroll Grayson Floyd and/or Pulaski in Southwest Virginia. If there is not a first generation applicant from the above mentioned counties the award can be made to a transfer student of financial need from New River Community College whose primary residence is in the counties of Carroll Grayson Floyd and/or Pulaski.
