Marlene & Peter Coe Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship

An endowed scholarship established by Peter Coe to benefit a full-time JMU student who has demonstrated a capacity to make a contribution to the visual and/or performing arts community at JMU. Priority will be given to students from Patrick County, Virginia, from a single parent household. If candidates are not available to meet the aforementioned criteria, qualified students from households with other parental composition and from other geographical areas will be considered. A student may be selected as a freshman and continue to receive the scholarship until graduation, as long as the selection criteria continues to be met. Recommendations may be made from the JMU visual and performing arts departments and the Coe family. Administration of the scholarship and the final selections will be done by the JMU Scholarship Office.
